My Lucky Brother-In-Law

My brother-in-law is a lucky guy. He was given a full tattooing kit including needles, guns, inks, flashes – the works – for nothing!

A friend of his who moved to America could not take her stuff over with her so she gave the lot to my brother-in-law. All of it!

He’s actually keen on tattooing and has a few nice tattoos himself. His first victim was his wife – my sister. She ended up with a small tattoo at the top of her thigh. It’s nothing great but I suppose you have to start somewhere. Then he tattooed a tribal eagle on his leg. The design itself isn’t too complicated but he did a fantastic job shading it in.

With a bit more practice I would probably be happy to let him tattoo me.

It's Only A Pink Star Tattoo

A pink star tattoo.
I was reading a post on a Tattoo forum about a young guy whose girlfriend wanted to get a star tattoo on her wrist along with some of her closest friends.  He wanted her to wait a while to think about it instead of acting on impulse and then regretting it.
So she did wait a few months, then when his girlfriend and her friends were out one day they all chipped together and got their star tattoos. He goes on to say that it was a pink star that has no meaning.  He also writes on the forum that he doesn’t like tattoo himself and is not trying to offend anyone on the forum but wanted to know if they think she would regret getting the tattoo later on.
In my opinion, if the girl wants to get a tattoo, especially if she’s waiting a while to think about it then he really has no say as it’s her body.  Friendship stars are so popular these days anyway and yes you could say that if you want to remember your friends that’s what photos are for but it more of a bonding thing, isn’t it?
What was he thinking of, going onto a tattoo forum, telling them that he personally doesn’t like tattoos and asking if they, the forum members, thinks she’ll regret getting a pink star on her wrist?
Needless to say, nearly 90% of those who voted in the forum poll think she would not regret getting the tat. Now, if he found a forum of people who hate tattoos, a tattoo hater’s forum, I would imagine he would get a response he would be happy with and not as you’ve probably been thinking had the piss taken out of him.

No, No Regrets

I was surfing the net today and I found this book called No Regrets. It's subtitle is: The Best, Worst & Most £$%*ing Ridiculous Tattoos Ever and is full of hilarious, cringe-worthy and downright stupid examples of tattoos.

Here's a link to it on Amazon.co.uk

It should be worth a laugh.

The Girl With The Joe McElderry Tribue Tattoos

27 Year old Laura Robson from South Shields gets tattoos devoted to Joe McElderry.

Joe Mcelderry

Story by BBC News:

Ever since he won on the talent show X Factor, Joe McElderry - also from South Shields - has been increasingly in her thoughts.

She's travelled the country to see him and has had three tattoos in his honour.

This week she queued overnight for 14 hours to be - nearly - first to meet him at an album signing on home turf.

She turned up at a local supermarket at 2.30am, 14 hours before he was due to arrive. Not as bad, she says, as the girl from Scotland who'd been there since 6pm the night before. Laura laughs at the thought that, by contrast, she only lives 10 minutes away.

She stresses the fans weren't after bagging themselves a celebrity boyfriend: "Definitely not. Definitely not. It's all about him and he's an absolute diamond, he is a lovely, lovely lad, aside from his talent.
"I just wanted to be part of the full adventure.

"I thought, well, I don't want to be turning up at three 3 o'clock in the afternoon, I want to show my full support for him, be one of the first faces that he sees when he comes through."

Cheryl Cole's Mrs C tattoo

I actually quite like Cheryl Cole. She’s a very beautiful lady and I see here every week on the TV. I like to catch a glance at her tattoos. The one on here had is the most obvious and well known one.

The tattoo on the back of her neck “Mrs C” is I wonder something she regrets. I believe she's keeping her name but what about the Mrs part? What do you think about getting your partners name etc tattooed on your body?

My Right Foot Tattoo

I often go to Spain to visit relatives and nearby is a great tattoo studio called Bagwa Tattoo run by a great couple called Sarah and Toby.  Most of my family have been there and had tattoos. I was having a look through their image gallery and found a picture of a tattoo that Sarah done on my right foot. The love heart was there already and she incorporated it into the scroll. The image is below. What do you think?

The Girl With A Rose Tattoo Blog

Welcome to The Girl With A Rose Tattoo blog.
As you may have guessed it’s about tattoos. In particular it’s about tattoos on girls and whether or not the tattoo looks good on a female. Of course the female wearing the tattoo would think it looks good on her and that is all down to personal taste. So I suppose in this blog personal taste will play a big part and that’s where the comments box will come into play. As pictures of tattoos are posted I will give my opinion and I welcome yours.
Soon I’ll be posting some pictures of tattoos that I myself have, on friends or that I find on the web and we can have a discussion about them.
Oh, by the way, my rose tattoo; it’s not as massive or impressive as the one in the film/book The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
